Mr Benyuk, what is football for you? Is it just entertainment or something much more important?

Let me tell you the following way: it is entertainment, leisure and serious business together. I am a fan having very long experience. Therefore, I take everything related to Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukrainian national team to heart. Unfortunately, football players give few occasions for being glad during the recent period. But the point is not only in results. The self-sacrifice and the readiness to fight till the end without which football loses its soul have almost completely disappeared from our football field (I primarily imply games of the Ukrainian Championship). The reason is that a fan may forgive everything to his favourite team: insufficient proficiency, tactical mistakes and even a goal scored to their own team, but not absence of willingness to fight.

“Depending on a particular situation, I adjust the team differently. I treat guys accordingly. Sometimes it is necessary to tighten the screws, because I feel that imbalance in appeared in the team. On the other hand, sometimes it is necessary to pet the players a bit. I never reveal my cards to journalists.
